Sintering is a key process in modern manufacturing, enabling materials such as metals, ceramics, and composites to be compacted and shaped without fully melting them. Precise control of temperature and atmosphere produces components with high density, strength and specific properties. Sintering processes are typically performed in vacuum or oxygen-free inert gas atmospheres (e.g., argon, nitrogen) to prevent oxidation and enable the production of high-purity and high-performance components.

  • CFC: Used as load-bearing structural components, such as plates and charge carriers, offering high mechanical strength with low weight.

  • Graphite: High thermal conductivity, temperature resistance up to 3,000 °C, very low reactivity, and perfect machinability via turning and milling
  • Soft felts: Excellent thermal insulation with flexible formability
  • Rigid felts: Used for the production of cylinders and plates, thermally stable with minimal expansion
  • CFC: Combines strength, lightweight properties, dimensional stability, and thermal shock resistance
