What are your tasks at Graphite Materials?
The tasks are varied and it is very important to me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for graphite with the team and to create an ideal working environment. Together with the smart engineering team, I accompany and support customers in their projects.
Whether it’s a small change to a component or an innovative project, we are always a competent partner and make a constructive and innovative contribution. Sound knowledge of materials forms the basis for the right choice of material and thus the basis for the function I invest part of my time in expanding my knowledge and documenting it and in knowledge management.
The material characteristics are the basis for calculations and simulations when designing components and assemblies, which enables us to implement them quickly using effective methods.
I share my knowledge both internally and externally as a member of specialist committees and project-related committees.
Together with the team, I am always available for planning and production and support my colleagues in the implementation right through to the finished component.
I make sure that modern software is available, with the selection based on the needs of the team, in order to process customer orders reliably, quickly and economically.
Which area is the most fun?
“From the idea to the component” describes what I enjoy most. The functional and creative design of components/assemblies, the design based on calculations and simulations, as well as the support of production during implementation, right up to the goal – achieving an optimal function.
And what do you do after work?
I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. I share the hobbies of 3D printing and RC model airplanes with my son.
